- The X1 video platform lacked the ability for the UI to be available in different languages. The platform has a diverse set of users, so how can we make it flexible for non-english users to find and enjoy content that is meaningful to them.
- My role was to first understand our hispanic users, then identify areas of opportunity to enhance our current product.
- Working with the cross-platform team we identified in order for our platform to allow for localization, the UI needed to account for a potential of 30% growth in text strings. That then required us to make updates to existing patterns to accommodate.
- I had to identify areas through the user journey where we could implement updates so a user would be able to choose their language; first time user experiences, settings, and even through voice commands.
